Dr. Bill Gerlach understood in high school that he wanted a professional career involving science, people and compassion.  Dentistry was the perfect fit.  His academics led him to study biomedical engineering at Northwestern University from 1980-1983.  Taking early acceptance into dental school, he enrolled in one of our country’s top dental schools, Baylor College of Dentistry, where he graduated with his bride, Dr. Lynne Spencer Gerlach, in 1987.

Setting up his practice in Plano in 1987, Dr. Gerlach has pursued clinical advances in quality dentistry from the beginning.  He has attended esteemed learning centers such as Spear, Dawson and The Pankey Institute.  He completed the Pankey continuum in 2007, and is currently a member of The Spear Institute Faculty Study Club. 

Dr. Gerlach has served organized dentistry in many capacities.  Among these are Founder and Board member (’98-’07) of the Texas Dental Association Smiles Foundation (President ’06-’07), Dallas County Dental Society Foundation, DCDS Board member (’07-present), Texas Academy of Dental Practice Administration President (’08-’09), Chairman of the Southwest Dental Conference 2010, President of Dallas County Dental Society (2011), and Delegate to the TDA House of Delegates (’05-present).

Dr. Gerlach has been recognized with many honors through the years, including Fellowship in the International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists, and the Academy of Dentistry International.  He received The President’s Award from DCDS in 2007, and was Dallas’ nominee for Texas Dentist of the Year in 2007.  He has been voted to D Magazine’s Best Dentists in Dallas since 2005, and Texas Monthly’s Super Dentists since 2006.

Leslie joined our team January 2010. She is from California and has been in Dentistry for over 20 years. She enjoys handling our in house lab work as well as assisting Dr. Bill with our patients. In her personal life she loves spending time with her husband Doug and their 5 dogs.

Kristi

Position: Business Coordinator
Education: Richland College 2003

Kristi has been in dentistry since 1997 and enjoys building relationships with our patients as well as assisting in their administrative needs. In her personal time, Kristi is devoted to being a mom to her son, spending time with her family, and dining out with friends.

Celia has worked part-time for the Gerlachs for over 5 years. She is a former teacher, but has been a dental hygienist for 18 years. She has been married to her husband, Tom, for 36 years. They have two grown daughters; Christy, who lives in New York City and Melissa and her husband, Trey, who live here in Plano. She loves to travel, read, and spend time boating and swimming at her lakehouse on Lake LBJ.  Her baby is a long-haired miniature dachshund named Scarlett.

Jennie started working for the Gerlachs in 1995 as a sterilization assistant, while in college. After attending  dental  hygiene school, she returned and has been on our  team since 2002. She enjoys spending her  free time traveling, doing yoga, reading and doing anything crafty. She has been married to her “rockstar” husband, Robert,  since 2007. Their babies are Grizabella the cat and Bones the dog.

Jane has been with the Gerlach’s since 1992.  She has been married to Don since 1978 and has three terrific, grown sons. In her personal time she likes to read, dine out and travel.
